Who sends the messages

Relay, operated by Inside Charleston LLC, provides an AI phone receptionist and website service for home service contractors such as heating and air companies. When someone calls a contractor who uses Relay, or submits a request form on that contractor's website, Relay may send that person a text message on the contractor's behalf. The messages come from the contractor's business number and are about that person's own service request.

What the texts contain

Confirmation that a request was received, a link to schedule a visit at a time the customer chooses, and follow-up about a quote or estimate the customer asked for. Nothing promotional is sent on this program.

How consent is given

Two ways, both started by the customer. During a phone call, the AI receptionist asks whether the caller would like a text message with a scheduling link, and the caller must say yes before anything is sent. The verbal agreement is recorded in the call transcript and stored with the lead record. Or the visitor enters a phone number on a request form on the contractor's website, where consent language appears directly above the submit button before the form can be sent.

Frequency varies. Typically one to three messages per service request.

How to stop, and how to get help

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. You will get one confirmation and nothing after that. Reply START to resubscribe. Reply HELP for help.
